Assalamualaikum, hello reader!
So 2 weeks ago I went for a 4D3N short getaway in Krabi, Thailand with three of my primary school friends whom I still keep in touch with. We've been wanting to go on a proper holiday together-and skipping an afternoon class for it was totally worth it ! (kids, don't do this hahaha)
Now let's get to the important part.. budget budget budget..
1. Flight tickets PLUS hotel (RM347)
We booked our flights+hotel through https://www.airasiago.com.my and alhamdulillah we managed to get an awesome deal as you can see above..!
View the hotel details here : PRANANG FLORA HOUSE
Our rating for the hotel : 4.8 STARS!!!
It was everything that we hoped for; clean, friendly & helpful staff, serve breakfast, close to everything, not noisy, if there were any at all to improve it would only be the wifi.. sometimes we get very poor connection. Us girls, we got the room with the balcony facing the streets of ao nang & the hills which was nice :)
The rule of thumb is to make bookings AT LEAST 1 month in advance to secure great deals like this one.
2. Itinerary & expenses
Day 1
-rm20 per person for transport to hotel via VIP van, and by VIP I mean seriously the van is humongous and fancy! They wouldn't let the 5 of us squeeze into a taxi hence why we had to opt for the van instead.
On the way to Ao Nang, the driver stopped by a tour agency and there we were given free flow bananas which were tastier than the ones I'm used to :D
So from the wide range of activites & tours available, we chose to go to hotsprings, emerald pool & blue pool, elephant trekking (they even throwed in a free airport transfer on our last day!)
The tour is 1600baht.
When we got to our hotel it was almost dinner time so after settling in, we quickly got ready and hit the streets of ao nang on foot, wanting to explore & survey..No worries about eating though, Halal food is easily found. On our first night, we ate at a Thai-muslim restaurant called Bamboo Restaurant if I'm not mistaken. The food there was delicious! I had black pepper beef with rice & some drink which totalled up to 170baht. (a meal with a drink roughly is around this price, but you can get less than 100baht from street food like pad thai, nasi pattaya or padprik, mango pancake etc)
Day 2
This was our lepak day! We just casually strolled around, went for a massage, I even went for waxing hehehe and later in the evening we hung out at the beach which is just 10 mins (fast) walking distance from our hotel. On this day was our first attempt on finding Luna Cafe which my mom strongly suggested to go to... but failed. Oh well..
MASSAGE PRICES (to give you an idea)
Thai traditional body massage 1hr 250baht
Hot oil massage 1hr 600baht
foot scrub 30 mins 200baht
manicure 150-300baht
I did all these for 400baht at a massage place next to beachfront massage infront of the beach)
-Underarms waxing (which was not painful at all, and she did a great job!)
-head, neck & back massage 30mins
-foot scrub 30mins
Day 3
This was our activity day ! You can see most of the footage in this day in the video above. We filled the empty spaces of time with random trips to their amazing 7 eleven outlets and playing tai tee, bluff and other card games at the hotel lobby. Our second attempt of finding Luna Cafe, and walking for more than 5km to do so but unfortunately without success.....memang takde rezeki.. So if you are going to Krabi, please find this Cafe in Ao Nang and give me closure lulz. The rest of the night was just finishing our money by shopping and trying out their street food. I had a giant grilled squid which was 80baht... and a delicious mango shake for 50baht
Day 4
Our flight was the first flight out of Krabi hence there's nothing much to say, except that the driver came before time and as promised we got the FREE airport transfer from our hotel at 5.30am !! hahaha
In conclusion, for a 4D3N stay in Krabi, all you need is rm350 for flights and hotel, rm550 for activities, food and a little bit of shopping, a nice camera, a theme song, wonderful company and a the urge to explore :)
xx
